Last weekend, I went to the Wegmans in Warrington PA, and ordered a sub to go, with Wegman's oil. I also requested (among other things) salt and pepper. I was told, "It's already in the dressing". Today (10/17/2009), I ordered another sub to go (same Wegmans), but this time I chose mayo. Again, I asked for salt and pepper. This time, I was told, "We don't have that. If you eat it here, there are salt and pepper shakers on the tables upstairs". And if I don't, then I suppose there's just no salt and pepper for me. Seriously, what kind of a sandwich making establishment doesn't have salt and pepper?
Danny, if you're reading this: Get one of the Sub Shop people to walk upstairs, grab a salt and pepper shaker, and make it available on a sub to go. This has to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
